Carmen Ziarkowski, a home-schooling mother of three for over 20 years, loves baroque, classical, and (even) romantic-era music.  To impart a love for great music, Carmen read multiple biographies of composers, looking for information she could share with her then-four-year-old daughter (Destiny).  Without the use of the internet (early 1990s), she had to search for each composer's music from many different libraries.

This approach worked well until a second child came along. After that, the time for so much research evaporated.

At this point, she realized that time constraints would prevent many other parents from imparting a love of great music (particularly Christ-honoring music) to their children. This realization inspired the creation of Color the Classics:  A simple, time-friendly resource designed to help parents instill a love for exceptional music in their children.
